Our Green philosophy
At Hotel Scoiattolo, we take pride in ourcommitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.. Understanding the importance of preserving natural resources, we have implemented various eco-friendly practices to minimize our environmental impact.
One of our most significant initiatives isthe installation of solar panels on the hotel roof. These panels capture solar energy to produce clean, renewable electricity, reducing our reliance on unsustainable energy sources. This initiative actively contributes to lowering greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change.
We also embrace sustainability in our restaurant operations. We carefully select ingredients, prioritizing zero-kilometre products and produce from our own garden This approach ensures the freshness and quality of our dishes, supports the local economy, and reduces the environmental impact associated with transporting goods.
SELECTIVE COLLECTION
The Hotel Scoiattolo participates and promotes separate waste collection throughout the hotel, which in the municipality of Baselga di Piné reaches 85%.
LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
We have implemented a range of initiatives to enhance the sustainability of our hotel. These include replacing plastic with dispensers, using energy from photovoltaic systems, installing energy-efficient lighting, and managing detergents responsibly. These are just a few examples of how we are making Hotel Scoiattolo more eco-friendly.
LOCAL PRODUCTS
Directly from the garden to the table: we use the products we grow in our restaurant and, wherever possible, we strive to use only fresh, local raw materials.
We produce up to 24kW of electricity with photovoltaic panels on the roof and use solar panels to heat our outdoor pool. The surplus hot water is circulated for use in the rooms.
